FLORENCE, Ala. - The University of North Alabama's fall 2009 Flutes and Friends concert will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 at the 1st Presbyterian Church on Mobile Street in downtown Florence. The event will bring together UNA students, faculty and alumni to perform for the public.

Event director and UNA flute instructor Ann Hendren said the goal of the program is to bring the UNA music department and the community together. This year's event is different, she said, because a UNA saxophone ensemble will join the flute ensemble. There will be a vocal performance, as well.
